Below are a few guidelines that I need to express in order to help things run smoothly.

1. All lessons begin on time. If you’re 10 or more minutes late, I cannot teach your lesson at that time. If for some reason I’m 10 or more minutes late, then we’ll reschedule a make-up lesson at no additional expense or extend your lesson if possible.

2. I need at least a day’s notice if you’re going to miss your lesson. The only exceptions to this are (of course) emergencies or sudden illness. This is a courtesy to me as well as to other students. If proper notice is not given, you will still be charged for the lesson.

3. You need to practice at least 30 minutes a day. This will give you ample enough time to improve and continue steady growth. The time spent in band is not considered practice.

4. Silly as it may sound, you must bring all your materials: trumpet, mouthpiece, music, notebook, and an open mind.
